When I was in 7th grade my arts and craft class made marionette puppets. We used a paper pulp to form hands and feet. I wasn't involved with making the pulp so I don't remember exactly how it was made. I do remember that newspaper was shredded and then soaked with liquid dish detergent. The pulp did not have a soapy feel to it, and it was rock-hard when it dried out so it didn't disintegrate when it got wet when it was painted. For the life of me I cannot find a recipe for making this pulp. Can anyone here fill me in on the details?
