I am doing a fairly large modular structure, 4 module eachone is 2 ft X 4 ft. made of styrofoam I am debating whether to use wall paper powder mix or PVC (white) glue with newspaper.
I need strength and durbality.
any ideas?

I mix wallpaper paste first. I put a bit more powder than the manufacturer calls for and leave over night (or longer). When I need to use it, I mix it well. When it becomes completly smooth I add two or three tablespoons of PVA glue to about 1 kg (a bit more than 2 pounds) of wallpaper paste.
I find this to be the best mixture to use on newspapers. The wallpaper paste alone is not strong enough. On the other hand, deluted PVA glue is too thin, wet and messy to work with.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your project.
