Brandon & Jarrod Shiflett are putting on another sculpting challenge, and this time the theme is "Monster Riders". You can read more about it (rules/guidelines, prizes, deadline, etc.) here:

Papier mache is an acceptable medium (as is just about any other sculpting media you can imagine) for entries. I submitted a papier mache piece, and placed third, in the previous contest, earlier this year. And there's no fees or anything for entry.

Deadline got pushed back to Monday (was Sunday), so, if any of you were planning on entering, you've got another couple of days to throw something together. Here's mine:
Gizmo & Executioner ("Gizmocute")
A pair of villainous creatures that can be found in 1994's Shining Force II Sega Genesis tactical roleplaying video game.
Materials:
Newsprint, notebook paper, tissue paper, white glue, super glue, plastic (transparent base only), and acrylic paint.
Dimensions:
(Excluding the base)
4.8 cm/1.9 in. x 8.0 cm/3.1 in. (widest point x highest point)

Thanks for the kind words everyone! The competition is pretty fierce, so I don't know if I'll earn a spot in the winners' circle or not, but one can always hope.
Here's the final entries thread where all the finished submissions will eventually appear (deadline still isn't till midnight tonight though):
