Many of you are familiar with Lark Books, but if you aren't, it's past time!
I am looking at one of their 500 series of books, "500 Bracelets", a collection of bracelets made by many artists. Maybe papier mache isn't the first material you think of when you think about jewelry, but maybe that should change...
Besides the usual jewelry materials such as gold, silver, and precious and semi-precious stones, you'll see bracelets made from materials as diverse as wire, rubber, human hair, paper, papier mache, wood, string/thread/yarn, beads, shells, wire mesh, plastic, polymer clay, rabbit fur, gold leaf, paint, auto glass, feathers, wool felt, enamel, leather, steel/copper/brass, stones, porcelain, resin, nylon, x-ray film, tin containers, aluminum, embroidery, toys, fabric, and Tyvek.
If you wanted something to inspire ideas, here it it!
And if that isn't enough, you can investigate other books in their series:
500 Earrings
500 Animals in Clay
500 Earrings
500 Baskets
500 Beaded Objects
500 Bowls
500 Broaches
500 Ceramic Sculptures
500 Chairs
500 Cups
500 Figures in Clay
500 Glass Objects
500 Handmade Books
500 Handmade Dolls
500 Metal Vessels
500 Necklaces
500 Pendants and Lockets
500 Pitchers
500 Plates and Chargers
500 Teapots
500 Tables
500 Tiles
500 Wedding Rings
500 Wood Bowls
Then, there are
1000 Glass Beads
1000 Rings
400 Polymer Clay Designs
400 Wood Boxes
If these aren't some kind of inspiration to you, you probably shouldn't be here!

I had no idea there were so many in the series, I have the 500 Handmade Dolls and it is a fantastic book. Thanks for the list Sue, I can see my pocket money disappearing fast.
I will have to start making PM book cases to put all my books in. There is no such thing as too many books!

Before buying, I would borrow them from the library. I got the '500 Animals in Clay' first, and wasn't overly impressed. Returning it to the library is very painless, compared to spending $25 USD on something I didn't like.
(And, as poor as I am, I tend to borrow books like these and take a LOT of notes.)

I am fascinated with "500 beaded objects". I never knew it was a series of amazing books. I think I am going to get a copy of "500 wedding rings".
