I've been drying stuff in my crockpot lately, and it really works at drying things quickly and firmly. Of course, the downfall is that I can only dry certain sized pieces. I found these easy plans for a homemade food dehydrator today and I thought to myself - wow, what a great idea to dry papier-mache quicker and I wanted to pass it along.
I am going to try and get the stuff to make it in the next couple of days, so I'll update you on how it goes.

I ended up finally building the homemade food dehydrator to dry papier-mache in and it ended up working beautifully!
I regret not thinking of this before, it would of saved me a lot of drying time!

Hi Bb nice to know we are all still about even if it's not as often as we would like. That drier is like a mini version of a warming cupboard I described how to make many moons ago somewhere in the forum. I have booked marked the dehydrator, as it is ideal for some friends of mine who like to make dried fruit.

snoozysnowshoes: I remember when you described your warming cupboard. It had been in the back of my mind all this time. This dryer was the best I could come up with since I had no access to wood or wire.
