Does anyone have any experience using a mold for pulp PM?
Would plaster molds work?
Some materials (like concrete) can be make in plaster molds, but you have to coat the mold with 4 or 5 coats of shellac. Would that help? Hinder?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yes it is works. I use such mold from gyps, coat it only one layer of oil (Boiled Linen Seed Oil), next day one layer of shellac (in spirit) next day one more layer.
