Making a LARGE papier mache horse head for a Chinese New Year's parade. (Will fit over a person's head approx 4' tall, 4' long.) Using chicken wire as mold, we filled chicken wire holes with small wads of newspaper. I am unsure which path to take next. Would like to p.m the inside of horse head and it's open mouth, but it will be difficult to lay strips on inside as there is not much room to work. I am considering using p.m. pulp to smear on the inside of the head to bond to paper wads for added strength, but am worried about the weight of the finished project. Never used p.m. pulp before so I'm not sure how it performs. Can anyone guide me from here?
