I was lucky enough to go on a wildlife watching trip to India a few years ago; took hundreds of photos which are proving fantastic source material. Even the park guide was quite surprised to see this chap so close to the road.

For this kind of mirror, I use a technique similar to that used for creating stained glass windows. After doing the basic drawing, I cut the mirror to shape and then fix the pieces at differing angles onto the backing. The p-m pulp is then built up, helping to hold the mirror in place. The point is that a kaleidoscope reflection doesn't distract as much as a flat piece of mirror would, it being human nature to look at yourself in a mirror rather than at the design I have spent hours working on!
