Cool display piece; makes me think of a doll house. Are any of the smaller objects also papier mache constructs? Obviously the transparent glass vessel and the LEGO(?) giraffe aren't.
I think there is a small paper mache guitar in the back. The rest are just odd things to demonstrate depth. I was always fascinated by the tin nichos in the Mexican curios shops in Texas. I have many shapes in mind and hope to make some shrines to various things soon.
I'd never heard of nichos until now. I just looked it up, on Wikipedia, and also learned about retablo in the process. I agree that it's an interesting art form. I look forward to seeing your future nichos designs!

Oh great, Mark! Aside from the tin nichos, I've only seen others in wood. I found these in clay that are really beautiful...
