I'm not familiar with this particular species of fish, but it has an interesting shape, particularly the posterior fins. Are you going to paint it? While the monochrome approach isn't without its merits, I think a full color paint job (with a gloss top coat to make it look wet and shiny) would really bring this aquatic fellow to life.
Hi Mark! you are right about painting.I´m still experimenting.I´m trying some acrilic colors in other pieces. I haven´t painted this fish yet,worried about not ruinning it.The form facinates me so much,the sculptural shape of things. Look up the fish´s in youtube.there are some fun vídeos.I´ve seen some in a public aquarium,they are magnific,there is something pre historic about them.
