The box is roughly 4.5" X 8". The scene includes 2-D, 3-D, and mirrored details. I'm trying to create a scene that will be effective in both natural and artificial light. Lots of elements I haven't worked with much; I'm enjoying the challenge.
I think you've got a pretty good sensation of depth going with the trees and mirrored surfaces, but, I think the addition of another 3-dimensional tree or two would really add to the effect.
I remember that we used to make these kind of things back in elementary school art class out of shoe boxes. They were kind of like peep shows, rather than open-box affairs like yours though. You'd cut a small whole in the top of the box, to let in light, and another small hole, in the side, to look through. I think we did graveyard motifs for a Halloween themed project.

Thanks, Mark and André.
Mark, I think you're right about another tree. Your Halloween project sounds fun; I might try a "Dia de los Muertos" theme for another diorama.
