The armature is an empty hen's egg shell. I used newsprint shreds to cover the shell, then applied bill, wings, legs and tail out of cartonnage (brown paper bag laminated with acrylic matte medium). Painted in craft acrylics, sealed with acrylic matte medium. These are fun, quick sketch items that can be completed in a day (and are a nice break from more complex, long-term stuff.
