This is a life size robot I made for an art exhibition, My finest creation to date. She was made by making a frame from cardboard carpet tubes, pringles tubes and cerial boxes (and other random bits and bobs), and then covering the whole thing with layered paper mache to give it strength, stability, and a good solid looking finish. The head, pelvis and arm joints are made entirely from paper mache. I used drawing pins to make the rivets, and painted the whole thing with gold spray paint. The eyes are made from a plastic folder. To add a little flair I cut a door in the back of the head and put in some LED lights to make the eyes glow. I plan to add more detailing to her at a later date.
