I like to make an assortment of objects in papier mache, but one thing that I often come back to and recreate in different ways is trays. I've made them in all shapes and sizes, for every use from jewelry and key catchall, to display and carrying food. This tray, which was inspired by my love of artifacts, such as the Phaestos Disk, the Rosetta stone, and the mask of Agamemnon, was designed to display on a plate stand. It has a cardboard frame, to which strip papier mache was applied.
