I have always loved mermaids, some girls liked unicorns, some like fairies but I loved mermaids. When I was little there was a movie great mermaid movie called "Splash" with Tom Hanks and Darryl Hanna. I highly recommend renting it!

I wanted this sculpture to look like it was rescued from the ocean floor like some relic.
