Making things waterproof is a lot harder than making things water resistant. The only way you can really use papier mache vases is if you put a container inside (a cut down plastic bottle for example) or a jar. You will need to make the inside of the vase flat so that the container stands level. You can do this by pouring in some plaster or polyfilla and leaving it to set. The other option is to papier mache over glass jars...you need to speak to Terry of www.terryspapiermache.com for advice on this - he's the King of the papier mache jars! )
