Hi,
I have only just found and joined your site, after finding you on a random search.
My name is Bev. I am a WAHM of five kids living in the UK (2 special needs children)
I'm looking for something new to do! I have been crafting of various kinds for a very long time, but money is tight as DH has been made un-employed and I spend a fortune on my materials.
Papier Mache seemed like an obvious option, but I'm a bit lost as to how to even begin! The ONLY papier mache I have EVER done is made a maraca (sp?) with one of the kids???
I think I need some HELPPPPPP!

Hi Bev,
You can get the basics on: http://www.papiermache.co.uk/exec/cms-d … iew/id-23/ It is a good idea to start with something simple like my bowls. These were designed as a first project which are easy and fun to make.
You will gain a wealth of information and help if you read through previous messages in this forum, from other new starters to people who have vast knowledge and experience in working with papier mache.
As well as reading about it - experiment! There is nothing like your own practice (and mistakes!) to gain confidence in this art form.
Good luck!
