I would like to have some input on the subject of how I can .weather/waterproof a paper mache pond surround I'm making for my balcony. It will need to be non-toxic,for it will have fish in it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,I'm new to the media and have no clue. Thank you. :?:
Hi. An excellent technique for creating planters, fountains and, yes, even ponds would be Hypertufa. It can be as simple and inexpensive or as elaborate as you care to make it...and it isn't much different from papier mache once you get into it really.
For tips, hints, recipes and tons of advice and/or help my favorite place to go is: http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/hypertufa/
A word of warning though: working with hypertufa can be just as addictive as papier mache.
Good Luck
