Working with cardboard.

There has been some discussion about using cardboard within structures and I thought it might be helpful to many if we had an article on the subject, mentioning techniques, tools, pitfalls etc.  Can I invite anyone who has experience of working with cardboard to contact me (dopapier@aol.com) so that we can put some ideas together?

Re: Working with cardboard.

I'm just having another try at asking whether anyone has experience of working with corrugated card and would like to contribute their knowledge to an article for others.

Dopapier, did you get any replies? Did you get my email about a week ago?

Re: Working with cardboard.

Hi Dave.  I have used corrugated cardboard for several items, but am not sure in what way you are looking for how someone uses cardboard in their PM's.  I use cardboard as my armatures, is that what you mean?

I'm not an artist and I have not been doing this long.  So forgive me if my response is not what you are looking for.

Beep! Beep! is one of them (My gallery is Vicki Pringle).  I find it so easy to work with.  The entire armature is cardboard - the sides were corrugated and the tops and back is cardboard from the back of a 3 ring binder (because it is easier to bend).

Omar the Roaring Lion has some corrugated cardboard as well - his face and mane.  His body is a paper canister (an old formula can that the hospital gave me).

So I don't sound like a complete idiot and go into detail on using corrugated cardboard for my armatures, is this what you want information on?

Yes, Vicki.  Any experience will be of help.  Perhaps you would like to email me directly?

Re: Working with cardboard.

Dopapier, I sent a fairly lengthy email to the address requested on the subject of card for papiermache, I have to assume you did not get it?
