Here is my papier-mache door stopper/bank. I know I am still a baby beginner at papier-mache so there is lots that could be improved on. (Like the fact I used marine varnish for an inside product, and Jackie had to explain to me that it is only for outside use. Whoops! )
I am pretty happy with it, and think it is a good start though. Lucky for me you can't see the bottom of it. The varnish crackled when I left it on a plastic bag to dry. I've learned my lesson and will only let the sides dry one or two at a time for the next project I work on.

I like it! And life is a learning experience. How boring would it be to know everything???
Is it a bank/doorstop that you drop all your money into as you come into the house?

The door to my art room refuses to stay open, and my boyfriend is a terror when it comes to leaving his change in one place, so I figured why not kill two birds with one piece of paper-mache! (*laughs*)

I like it, and what a great idea... a good idea for kids
you may be a baby beginner but weve all gotta start somewhere...
I still have my very first piece, and although it looks crude compared to later works.. it will always be the first one

It's a good practical piece and has not one but two uses. What more could you ask for.
