Most people have marvelled at the beauty and quality of Nives' work (see the first page in the gallery.
Over the last year she has been working on a book about her methods. I now have a copy and can assure you that it is absolutely wonderful. There is a picture of the front cover in her gallery but this doesn't tell you about the inside. Here, the illustrations are extremely clear, the methodology wonderfully explained. The pictures of her work are a delight.
For me, 'The Art & Craft of Papier Mache' by Juliet Bawden is the number one in the PM literature. Now, Nives' book is my number two and the sort of book that I would have on the coffee table as well as a working reference.
If you want to know more, go to her website

and email her (perhaps even mentioning my name!?)

David, Lucky you, it is on my birthday list of books.
After Nives posted her pictures on the gallery I contacted her, as I thought her work exquisite. She very generously sent me back her file on how she gets that finish.
she is a very kind 'PM colleague' considering how busy she must be.
I haven't checked but is the book available here?

No, only from her. She has an initial print run of only 200 for the English edition and it is posted from Split, Croatia. In answer to enquiries, she will send cost and bank transfer details. Then, when people let her have their names and addresses, she posts the book to them.

Nives' book "My Papier Mache" is an enchanting insight into a fine artist's world.
Beautifully photographed, it shows how papier mache can be transformed into great works of art.
Not a book for beginners, but a delight for those who want to perfect their skills, still keeping on the preferred recycling path.
I loved it.
